Profile

Graduated from Ueno Gakuen College of Music, Department of Piano. 

 

He won the first prize in the piano section and the audience prize at the 10th Tokyo Music Competition.  He is a recipient of the 5th scholarship from the NPO, Arts and Culture Young Budding Artists Society. 

He studied piano under Yuriko Saito, Mako Yokoyama, Reina Miyamoto, Yukio Yokoyama, Haruyo Kubo, Kentaro Kawada, and Fuyuka Kusa. Studied composition under Ao Takahata and Noriyasu Tanaka while in college. He has performed with Norichika Iimori, Teiko Maebashi, Kohei Ueno, Kazuma Miura, and others.

 

He was an assistant pianist for three years at the Otaru Viola Master Class held every winter by violist Nobuko Imai. He has been active not only as a soloist but also as a chamber musician and a piano duo.

In 2020, he formed the piano duo “176” (un set sis) with pianist/composer Atsushi Yamanaka. They performed orchestral works arranged by Yamanaka, and had their first concert featuring “Respighi: The Roman Trilogy”, which was also published and recorded live by Kawai Publishing Co.

In October 2021, he released the album “John Williams Piano Collection” from Avex Classics.
