Multi-percussionist from Osaka, Japan.

He started playing percussion when he was in junior high school in a brass band. While in high school, he studied under Saori Sendo. After graduation, he studied in New York with Cembocorniel, Keita Ogawa, Sergio Krakowski, Jogelio Boccato, and others.

While living in New York, he performed with the MIKA Mimura ERICKOSON Band at the Japanese Embassy.

 

In 2016, he enrolled at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. While there, he studied with Alan Mallet, Fernando Brandao, Tiger Okoshi, and others.

 

In 2017, he performed in Japan with Banda Magda at the Blue Note Tokyo, and in 2019, he performed in Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany with DEJÀN, a Latin fusion band in which he participates as a percussionist.

 

In the same year, he performed at the State Capitol in Boston. Nominated for the 63rd Grammy Awards in the category of “Best Immersive Audio Album” for his participation in Alain Mallet's album “A Wake Of Sorrows Engulfed In Rage”. In 2021, he participated in the recording of Ester Wiesnerova's “A Wake Of Sorrows Engulfed In Rage” in Europe, as well as the following year's tour. In 2022, he participated in Israeli pianist Yotam Ishay's tour of Israel.

 

He was selected for the “Beyond Music” competition, juried by Michael League and Bill Lawrence of Snarky Puppy, and was featured on an album produced by the two jurors.

 

In 2022, he performed as a guest with Makoto Ozone's big band “No Name Horses” at their Christmas Jazz Night.

 

Currently based in Tokyo, he is expanding his performance activities both in Japan and abroad.
