Born in 1990.
Began playing the bandoneon at the age of 10.
In 2006, she met world-renowned bandoneon authority Nestor Marconi at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival. She subsequently traveled to Argentina, raising travel expenses with sales from her own CDs, and has studied under him ever since.
In October 2008, she became the first Japanese and youngest ever runner-up at the 33rd International Piazzolla Competition held in Castelfidardo, Italy.
In May 2011, she performed at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival, performing alongside world-renowned virtuosos such as Martha Argerich and Yuri Bashmet, garnering significant attention and rave reviews.
She received the Idemitsu Music Award in 2014. His ambitious, unconventional approach, arranging and performing works ranging from Bach to Gershwin, and his sincere and energetic pursuit of the bandoneon's potential, were featured on NHK's "Top Runner" in September 2010, resulting in a rebroadcast. He has also made numerous television and radio appearances.
In 2007, he made his orchestral debut with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, conducting Michiyoshi Inoue, in the Japan premiere of Marconi's "Tangos Concertantes."
Since then, he has performed with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra under Eiji Oue, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under Alondra de la Parra, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra under Norichika Iimori, the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra under Yukio Fujioka, the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra under Ken Takaseki, the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra under Michiyoshi Inoue, and the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa.
Following "Tango Suite," he released his second CD album, "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires," which was selected as a special selection by Record Geijutsu magazine.
In 2012, he released "Carmella Tangos."
To celebrate the release, he performed with Marconi in Tokyo, Hyogo, and Nagoya, thrilling audiences with his passionate performance.
In April 2015, he released "Kazuma Miura Plays Gershwin."
2016 marked the 10th anniversary of his debut, and in March he led his debut performance at the Kuki Cultural Hall to success. In June, he embarked on a Japan tour, once again performing with his mentor, Nestor Marconi. In July, he was selected as the soloist for Bacalov's "Missa Tango" at the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra's 500th regular concert, receiving rave reviews.
In 2017, he performed with the Dogma Chamber Orchestra in Germany, performing Marconi's "Carmella Tangos." He has also formed his own chamber orchestra, the Tokyo Grand Soloists, further expanding his horizons.
In 2021, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Piazzolla's birth, he will release his first recording as the Tokyo Grand Soloists, "Buenos Aires Midnight," and will also embark on a nationwide tour commemorating the Piazzolla Year.
In 2022, Nippon Columbia will release "Piazzolla Standards & Beyond," an album fitting for the finale of the Piazzolla Year, with the Kazuma Miura Quintet.
He has also attracted attention as a talented young bandoneonist, having performed the music for the NHK Taiga drama "Aoi Tou wo Tsuke."
He plays an Alfred Arnold, a renowned instrument inherited from his mentor, Nestor Marconi.
